Color is onmidirectional. Of the many dimensions of color, its ability to communicate as a sign and as a symbol is of particular interest to me. Color is a primary signifier for ancient and modern cultures, and inherent to the phenomena of color is its ability to communicate by analogy.
As a visual artist I work across many disciplines in wide variety of materials and methodologies including painting, drawing, photography, enamel arts, installation work and puppetry. My artwork and scholarly research is broadly based in topics as diverse as color phenomena, Jewish history and the confluence of nature and culture.
